Not One, But Two

This here is my Top Ten bands. (Non metal)
And before I begin, I must thank my good friend, Alex for introducing me
to most of these bands. So, Alex, THANK YOUUU! :D
Enjoy.

1. Modest Mouse
Their just great.
And they have so much passion in
everything they do.

2. Death Cab For A Cutie
Listen to them, and you will understand.
Frikin' amazing lyrics!

3. Sigur Ros
Listen to their Takk album while sleeping.
You wont ever be able to sleep without it.
Ever.

4. Jack's Mannequin
His lyrics are sweet and dirty at the same time.
You won't know what I'm talking about until you
listen to some of his stuff.

5. MGMT
These dudes are always high.
But they make some purdy groovy tunes.

6. Bayside
Whenever I'm sad, I listen to this band.
They are up-beat enough to make me happy.

7. Bright Eyes
I love how all his songs tell a story.
His lyrics are just... Genius.

8. Something Corporate
Refer to band 4.
Same dude.
Same greatness.

9. Berrett and Harrison
Local band 'round here.
Taylor Berrett's voice is so lovely.
Oh, yeah, and his face is amazing.

10. Now, Now Every Children
This is the ONE band my mom and I both like!
Oh, and its pretty much the only band with a chick
singer, that doesn't annoy the crap out of me.

PLEASE email, Tweet, or comment YOUR Top Ten!
I would love to know!

Fake Frowns

Hello.
I have a confession.
It might be hard for some of you to process.
So brace yourself.
Here I go...
I have not listened to metal in two days.
*GASP!*
Yep, it's true.
In a way I feel as if I have betrayed somebody.
I'm not sure who it is...
But somebodies heart just broke.
Am I right?
But since I've started this blog, it's really challenged me to
expand my library.
I think that's really important.
It really annoys me when somebody will only listen to a certain type of music.
Which is why I'm writing this.
Hopefully, I will inspire somebody to try out a new genre.
I want people to know that I don't just listen to metal.
I am open to new things.
I mean, I've actually have been trying out some folk here lately.
Yes, folk.
I don't really like it.
But I'm waiting for it to grow on me.

So here are some of the songs that I've been obsessed with the past two days. (: Enjoy.

Lightness by Death Cab For Cutie

New Slang by The Shins

The Widow by The Mars Volta

In The Aeroplane Over The Sea by Neutral Milk Hotel

Mountain Man by Crash Kings

Time To Pretend by MGMT

Hang Me Up To Dry by The Cold War Kids

Alright, I hope you don't hate me too much for posting this!

Styrofoam Boots

So I'm going to try something a little different. Today, I'm going to be showing y'all some great, indie music. Wanna know why indie music is great? Well its very... weird.
Weird lyrics.
Sounds.
Voices.
Music videos.
Outfits.
Ya know.
All that junk.
And, we all like weird, right?
Now, I must admit, I wasn't crazy about these songs awhile back, but it kinda grew on me. I realized how awesome it really is. I started to appreciate it. So, give it a chance. Just Listen.

Ocean Breathes Salty (Frikin' CUTE kid!) by Modest Mouse
Also, check out Float On.

Kids by MGMT (Whoever made this video was freakin' hiiiiiigh. Just sayin')
Also, check out Electric Feel (Somebody was SUPER high for this video.)

Not One, But Two by Now, Now (Previously known as Now, Now Every Children)
Also, check out Giants

Oxford Comma by Vampire Weekend
