 How did you get started?
We've all been in smaller bands that never got anywhere. Basically we just decided to form a band that would actually be productive and hopefully become something more than a hobby.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

We all have very similar inspiration. A couple of big name bands that we look up to are Veil of Maya and Periphery, but we mostly look at smaller bands such as Volumes and Structures to help us get a very unique sound that will take us somewhere.

What has been your favorite venue so far? And what's your dream venue?

The Ridglea Theater is our favorite. It has a really good stage and sound system and always pulls a big crowd in. We think it'd be really cool to play at the Dallas Cowboys stadium since it's never been done before. We want to be the first!

If you had a chance to interview a musician who would it be, and why?
It would probably have to be Misha "Bulb" Mansoor from Periphery so I could ask him how he writes so many amazing songs.

If you could thank somebody for helping you fulfill your dreams as a musician, who would it be? And why?

Just people in my life that have supported me or made an impact on me. A lot of the lyrics I write are based on personal experiences and people. Without them I wouldn't be able to write as passionately as I do.

If you weren't involved in music, what would you be doing in life right now?

I would probably be working at some lame job and hating my life. Music is the only thing in life that I feel is worth my time.

If mom was going to make your favorite home-cooked meal, what would it be?
Hmm, I'd have to say her hamburgers. I never get tired of them.

What do you do in your down time?
We like to hangout as a band and just be really stupid. We're just normal, chill guys that like to have fun and laugh.
Have you had any really embarrassing mishaps on stage?
Not yet, but I'm sure we will someday haha.

What positive message do you want to send through your music to your fans?

We send a message about love to our fans. Our goal is to make people feel something emotionally real about our music, whether they can connect to the lyrics in some way, or just fall in love with our sound. This band isn't just for fun, its for all of us to show the passion that we have towards what we do, and we want to spread that.

Any favorite songs/bands at the moment?

At the moment my favorite band is The Contortionist. They're an amazing band and their sound blows me away.

And lastly, what does your band name mean to you? And, whats its origin?

We're kind of a concept band, meaning that we try and do things that haven't been done before. We're constantly looking for ways to make our songs as creative and unique as possible. We wanted a one word name that was catchy and easy to remember. I'd say Concepts fits us perfectly, and I think most people will agree with me when we release our EP in early 2011.
